Valley Jerte
The Jerte Valley is a region of northern Extremadura composed of eleven municipalities. Situated between the Sierra de Tormantos and Traslasierra Mountains and Sierra de Bejar, the valley is named for the river that runs, Jerte.
If you are looking for nature and to relax, Jerte Valley provides a wide variety of flora and vegetation. But undoubtedly the star is the cherry. Jerte Valley reaches a beautiful in spring when you can see all the cherry blossoms, creating an image that can hardly forget, a great white cloak clothes valley. But remember that nature has neither time nor exact date, but the best time is usually in late March and early April when flowering is at its peak. The valley celebrates this white explosion with a party of national interest: the Cherry Blossom Festival.
And in summer reserve a place to visit and take a dip in the Natural Reserve Hells Gorge, including within the "Network of Protected Natural Areas of Extremadura".
